Galaxy maintain winning streak

Jwaneng Galaxy thrashed Extension Gunners 3-1 on Saturday to maintain their pole position in the FNB Premiership log standing.

Gunners found the back of the next on the 6th minute with a well-executed penalty taking the game to recess with a solitary goal. 

In the second half, Galaxy changed their approach of the game as they started playing long balls from their wingers, which gave them a lot more chances to find the back of the net.

In the 55th minute, Galaxy played an ariel ball into the box, which got converted into a goal through a thunderous strike by Wendell Rudath to equalise.

The champions kept pushing and creating chances, and on the 77th minute, they got their second goal, after Gunners failed to clear their lines from a cross.

As the second half progressed, Gunners continued to make costly mistakes, failing to close balls coming from the width of the pitch played into the box.

Galaxy made another tap in from a ball that was crossed from the width through capable legs of Thero Setsile finding their third goal leading to a 3 - 1 in favour of Galaxy.

Having played 25 games, Galaxy now has 51 points followed by TAFIC FC with 49 points, after defeating Uniao Flamengo Santos 2-1. 

Meanwhile, in other league games played on Saturday, VTM and Orapa United played to a 3-all draw while Chadibe FC lost 1-3 to Sua Flamingo and BDF XI collected maximum points through a 2-1 victory over Security Systems. ENDS
