Top premier league clashes weekend

10 Apr 2025

After a midweek medley of clashes in the FNB Premiership, more mouthwatering encounters are expected this weekend.

Lobatse giants, Extension Gunners will travel to face Jwaneng Galaxy in its backyard on Saturday.

Galaxy went top of the table after Township Rollers and visiting TAFIC FC failed to produce a winner as the two played out an exciting goalless draw at the Royal Aria stadium in Tlokweng on Wednesday and now are at 46 points each.

The draw handed Galaxy a golden moment to move into the top seat of the closely contested FNB Premiership log with 48 points after Neo Mokhachane grabbed a last gasp winner against rock bottom, Union Flamingo Santos.

Disappointed by the stalemate, Mapalastina as Rollers are fondly called by their supporters will have to lick their wounds quick and fast before welcoming their traditional rivals, Mochudi Centre Chiefs on Sunday, in what promises to be a thriller of epic proportions.

The two teams played to a goalless draw in their last meeting in the first round.

Magosi buoyed by their recent form and emphatic midweek 3-0 victory against VTM FC, will travel to the National Stadium confident of overturning the results and fight for league honours still wide and open.

Gaborone United aka Moyagoleele, after winning against struggling Chadibe FC at the Old Francistown Stadium on Wednesday, will face a wounded Morupule Wanderers at the GU Stadium on Saturday.

Security Systems FC will face another relegation contender, BDF XI in Lobatse, after scalping Matebele FC through a Tshepo Keselebale goal on the stroke of half time and denied the homeside a Top 8 berth on Wednesday.

VTM welcomes Orapa United at the VTM arena in Gamononyane. ENDS
