Organisers of the annual Madikwe Cultural Festival, scheduled for March 29 at Newville Gardens in Sikwane, are determined to preserve culture in the Kgatleng region.

Speaking at a media brief, one of the organisers Henny Maruapula said the event on its fourth year now, would showcase cultural activities on the day such as traditional games, food, dance and a variety of entertainment.

He promised patrons a day full of vibrant performances from local talents including Dr Vom, Mma Ausi, Kgobola of Mr Chinese fame, Mmurubele, Skavenja, Tawana ya Koma, Tse Ditona tsa Kalawa with Djs Molex, Batsy, 4DD, Sean Lacoostaq and Olav Shiz.

Madikwe Cultural Festival has this year partnered with among others 4 EYES Optometrist and Sports Vision Practitioner, Dr Seabelo Moje, who applauded event organisers were mostly the youth for hosting such an event. He said culture needed to be preserved for future generation and said activities such as Madikwe Cultural Festival were driving such mandate and should be supported. ENDS
