The 5th annual African Attire on Fleek event is scheduled for this coming Saturday at Molapo Leisure Gardens in Francistown.

In an interview yesterday, organiser of the event David Letshwiti expressed excitement about the vibrant celebration of African culture and fashion, which has become a cornerstone event in Botswana’s cultural calendar.

Letshwiti noted that the event had experienced significant growth over the years, attracting a diverse audience that included fashion enthusiasts, cultural aficionados, and families eager to immerse themselves in a day filled with music, dance, and traditional cuisine.

“Each year has seen a substantial increase in participants, reflecting the event’s growing popularity,” he stated.

He further highlighted that past events had drawn attendees from various regions, emphasising the event’s widespread appeal and its vital role in promoting cultural unity. Additionally, Letshwiti mentioned that the event successfully fostered a platform for cultural exchange, allowing attendees to appreciate the rich tapestry of African traditions.

However, he acknowledged that organising an event of such magnitude presented challenges, particularly in logistics and ensuring a seamless experience for attendees. The event promises amazing performances by renowned local artists, as well as artists from across the African continent.
