Rebagago lives vision

11 Feb 2025

A vision never dies, it never leaves the person who has it, whether working on it or not, it always remains with them, that is David Rebagago’s belief.

Born and bred in Makaba, Rebagago’s love for music started when he was still young.

While a pupil, he was inspired by artistes often invited to play the keyboards during price giving ceremony and at church, he would keep busy with arranging music instruments for those performing during the service.

Rebagago, aged 26, relocated to Francistown to work as a music teacher and it was then that he was able to save money and purchase music equipment that would aid him realise his dream of becoming a music producer.

He said the journey was marred with hurdles but he would not give up, even after his equipment was destroyed by an electric fault, he had his eyes on the ball.

Rebagago said he was living his vision as a music producer and video editor, hosting podcast for others and doing live interviews.

The first song he produced, he said was Go tlaa siama, which he did featuring Boago Boemetsemang in Francistown, a pop music, produced in December 2024.

He said he had also produced a song for one artist by the name Promise in January this year.  Rebagago has an intiative to assist youth who are into music but do not have enough funds to pay for production.

“There are people who are gifted, who can sing, the problem is they lack inspiration, many youth are home sitting on talents, the challenge is funds, he said.
