Revolution worship next month

29 Apr 2025

Wagga Gardens will come alive with worship on May 17, as The Revolution: Worship in the Garden takes centre stage, headlined by South African media personality and faith leader Rorisang Thandekiso, the face behind the popular, Jesus This, Jesus That, movement.

In an interview with the founder, Kealeboga Gaelebale also known as Dj Kellz explained that Worship in the Garden was birthed from a four-year-long desire to create a space where worshippers could not only lift their hands in praise but open their hands in service.

“Worship is not just about lifting our hands, it’s about opening them to help others,” he said and explained that the gathering would not be an ordinary worship session.

Entry to the event, Dj Kellz said, was by invitation only, with guests contributing non-perishable food items to signal that giving back was  at the heart of the experience. Dj Kellz said that TLO-TLO, Tshepo Lesole, Sarai, Tshepie, Phomzie, Midas the Poet and Elaine were expected to perform. Sharing about the decision to feature Thandekiso, Gaelebale said her genuine walk with God, her cross-generational influence, and passion for community upliftment made her the perfect fit.

“Her heart for service perfectly matches our vision,” he said and noted that the atmosphere was expected to be one of freedom, healing, and surrender, giving attendees a sacred space to lay down the burdens of life and leave feeling lighter.

Partners and volunteers, described by the founder as ‘the hands and feet of the vision,’ have been instrumental in bringing the event to life, managing logistics, donations and creating a warm, welcoming environment.

“All collected donations will go directly to families and communities in need through trusted outreach teams and organisations. Beneficiaries are carefully selected to ensure that every contribution makes a real impact,” said Dj Kellz.

Looking to the future, he said that The Revolution: Worship in the Garden was intended to spark a movement, with plans for ongoing sessions in other cities.

“This is not just about hosting a moment, but starting a movement,” he said.

Since the announcement, he added that the response had been overwhelming, with strong support pouring in from the religious community and individuals eager to be part of something meaningful. Without divulging too much, Dj Kellz promised attendees an unforgettable moment of worship, special guest appearances, and powerful reminders of why worship and compassion must always go hand in hand.  ENDS
