A total of P1.7 million has been disbursed to the 56 families in the Family Feud Botswana game show, which is part of the Botswana Ignite project, the brainchild of American socialite Steve Harvey.

The money is shared by the participating families as their winnings.

The 26-series Family Feud Botswana show will be broadcast on Btv from February 2025, following a teaser last month.

As part of Botswana Ignite 2025, in addition to Family Feud show, the coordinator of the project Duncan Irvine said the company would train a second set of students on unscripted reality show, expand on master classes to include industry workshops covering topics such as entertainment law.

Also under Television Academy, new students will be offered a 10-month scripting development lab with pitch-ready scripts as well as imbedded production training courses which will run for 10 months.

The Wildlife Film School will also continue with its training on professional course to shoot and produce for international clientele.

Currently, Botswana Ignite is shooting LIAR (Africa) season 1 with Batswana students, who are currently with Television Academy working on the set of the film.

The move is said to be a testament of the company’s continuous creation of an enriching environment for a dynamic and comprehensive skills transfer experience to Batswana creatives. ENDS
