Dawnbell Academy founder and chief executive officer, Ndiko Muzila has had an awesome night at the 3rd Annual Glitz Awards for BW Celebs.

She ascended the stage four times to receive awards for different categories namely; Best Styled Author, Best Styled Religious Leader, Best Styled Community Builder as well as the Most Voted for Award, which earned her P25 000.

Muzila expressed her gratitude for scooping so many awards.

She said her inspiration was God and serving other people and commended the directors of the Glitz Awards, saying that they were a motivation to those who were doing something with their lives.

Her message to those who were nominated is that they are noticed and they are recognise for the great work they are doing.

She said though they did not get the awards, they should continue to work hard as one day they would be rewarded.

To those who won, Muzila said that they won does not mean  they have arrived.

“An award simply means you are noticed and recognised for the work you do, so go there and expand what you have been doing and continue serving the community, continue serving others as our lives are transformed by transforming and empowering others,” she said.

Muzila said that she would donate the P25 000 prize she won to Sowa Junior Secondary School (JSS) as she found a need at that school after vising it three weeks back.

“I was the speaker at Sowa JSS price giving ceremony. It is the school that I went to. While I was there, I learned that some pupils did not have chairs, some days some have to sit on the floor. I have purposed in my heart that I will buy chairs for them so this came at the right time,” said Muzila.

The awards also honoured the legends, awarding two people under the category of Legendary Award.

Ratsie Setlhako was given the Past Legend award while Barolong Seboni was given the Current Legend award.

Gofiwa Masima won herself two awards for which she was nominated being Best Styled Female Social Media Influencer and Best Styled Fashion Trend Setter.

She was also awarded with Best Styled Dress of the Night.

In other awards, Kidboy Base Laughs won the Best Styled Print Graphics award.

He said the category was competed for by well deserving persons, therefore he appreciated his voters for the support and dedicated the award to her late grandmother for his good upbringing, where she taught him about good conduct.

Best styled Tik-toker award went to Waone Makobo, a University of Botswana student who is also a small business owner.

To her, the award means with God everything is possible and commended her mother for the support she gave her.

Some of the awards were; Best Styled Plus Size Model, Best Styled Make-up Artist, Best Styled Dj, Best Styled Person with Disability, Best Styled Comedian, Best Styled Print Media Journalist as well as Best Styled Online Media Journalist, amongst others.

In his remarks, the director of the 3rd Annual Glitz Awards for BW Celebs, Nkgopolang Tlhomelang said he was happy with the growth the awards realised over the years.

He said when they started they had no sponsors at all.

Tlhomelang commended the sponsors who came on board this year, saying that the Department of Broadcasting heard their cry when they reached out to them.

He also stated that after meeting with different sponsors, they secured some prize money to be given to winners.

“The overall winner gets P25 000 while for others we have a total budget of P275 000, that shows growth on its own as we want to empower them financially,” said Tlhomelang.

Held at the Gaborone International Convection Centre (GICC), the awards night was laced by the performance of Vee Mampeezy, Chokoma, and Swag Kids, DJ Guyvos as well as Serurubele, the poet.

The audience who came to witness and celebrate with the stars on the night looked the part with top notch dress code for the event that was live on Btv. ends
