As the 73r^d Miss Universe competition approaches, Batswana await with keen interest to know how Miss Universe Botswana, Dr Thanolo Keutlwile will perform on the event.

The event will be held in Mexico City, Mexico at the Arena CDMX on November 16 where the reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios of Nicarugua will crown her successor.

Palacios has been the reigning Miss Universe since November 18, 2023.

Botswana’s representative at Miss Universe, Dr Keutlwile, oozes confidence as the competition nears.

“Life may have its challenges, but within you is a spark of greatness that can light the way even on the darkest days,” she mentioned this on her Facebook page.

She stated that “stay curious, stay kind and never stop dreaming. Believe in yourself, because the universe is waiting for your beautiful story to unfold.”

 As bold as she is, Dr Keutlwile will be carrying the beautiful flag of Botswana with pride and dignity as she believes in herself and dreams big.

So far, some of the designers of her costumes are local designers such as Exquisite Designs BW, Beauty Mark, Feura Cue apparel and others.

The Miss Universe competition is one of  the events closer to home as Botswana once emerged victorious in 1999 when Mpule Kwelagobe was crowned Miss Universe, something that brought happiness to Batswana and the African continent.

Voting has already started to take Dr Keutlwile to top 30 in the competition and therefore Batswana are encouraged to vote in large numbers.
