President Duma Boko was inaugurated as the 6^th President of Botswana on Saturday.

 While spotlight was more on activities surrounding  the inauguration, the outfit that President Boko wore together with the First Lady Kaone, set tone for the day.

 For their outfits, the pair had opted for powder blue theme, a symbol of serenity, stability, wisdom and reliability.

The President wore a timeless and classic two button blue jacket piece with a white shirt and a blue colour shade tie and some black pair of shoes.

Demonstrating humility and calmness, the First Lady was clad in a lace flared skirt and asymmetrical peplum long sleeved jacket with some daring pearl embellishment to enhance the outfit.

She completed the outfit with high heeled stilettos, crafted to elevate her look with a touch of sophistication.

Her inauguration outfit was a calm, safe choice and yet elegant for the occasion.

 It is yet to be seen if the First Lady will become the fashion icon especially for young women of Botswana or influence trends in the fashion space.

The inauguration ceremony was also filled with entertainment from Mpho Sebina and Dato Seiko.

True to Botswana’s heritage and culture, the event was also  flavoured with traditional song and dance from Mabutswapele Traditional group who gave an ensemble of Wosanna, Sebirwa, Phathisi and Tsutsube dances.

Also, the energetic Mafitlhakgosi Traditional Group enchanted not only the President but the crowd with their ever lively performance.

The Botswana Prisons Band was not to be outclassed as they gave a marvellous piece to entertain guests.

South Africa’s Yvonne Chaka Chaka also graced the occasion. Ends
