Nomlu Nail Bar launches beauty institute

The beauty industry in Botswana received a refreshing boost as Nomlu Nail Bar celebrated a grand reopening of its Fairgrounds Mall branch, coupled with the launch of Nomlu Beauty Institute.
Filled with excitement, the event underscored not only the growth of the business, but also empowerment of women in entrepreneurship.
Speaking at a press brief on Thursday, director of Nomlu Nail Bar and Nomlu Beauty Institute Nomsa Lukashe, expressed joy in attaining such milestone.
“After months of planning, redesign, and rejuvenation, our spa is back better than ever! We’ve created a serene oasis where clients can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life,” she stated.
The rejuvenated space, she said offered luxurious treatments and innovative therapies promising unparalleled relaxation.
Beyond immediate offerings of Nomlu Nail Bar, Lukashe announced the opening of Nomlu Beauty Institute, a BQA-accredited school aimed at fostering new talent in the beauty industry.
“We are committed to nurturing next generation of beauty experts,” she shared, emphasising the institute’s role in providing aspiring professionals with quality training in skin care, makeup artistry, and spa management.
Currently she said the nail bar employed over 20 women and few men and they planned to extend their services to other towns in Botswana.
Head of Retail at Access Bank Grace Setlhare Mankanku, applauded Nomlu for such a beautiful beauty space. She said Access Bank Botswana’s the W-Initiative was designed to empower women across Africa. She said Access Bank’s collaboration with Nomlu Nail Bar would provide discounted services to female employees and customers.
“This partnership signifies a shared vision of promoting holistic wellness and financial empowerment,” she said, underscoring the importance of women-owned businesses like Nomlu in Botswana’s entrepreneurial landscape.
She said Botswana was known for its strong presence of female entrepreneurs, noting that initiatives like Access Bank’s W-Initiative aimed to support and expand these efforts.
“The W-Initiative goes beyond traditional banking, offering mentorship, business loans, and networking opportunities that help women achieve their personal and professional goals,” she explained.
Adding to the excitement of the event, Nomlu’s business developer, Casey Metlhaleng, reflected on the journey of Nomlu under the leadership of Lukashe.
With over a decade of experience, she said Lukashe built a reputation for professionalism, impeccable techniques, and a personal connection with each client.
