Nna Le Ba Ntlo Yame Mega Gospel Festival, to be staged at the University of Botswana Indoor Sports Arena on Saturday is set to raise funds for charity activities across the country.

The concert, which is on its second year running, will feature artists and choirs including Vusi Ntokofa, Johnson Pheto, Tlotlo Raletsatsi, UCCSA Phakalane Youth Ensemble, as well as Soldiers of Christ from the UCCSA. Members of the Spirit of Praise ensemble from South Africa including iconic gospel artists Bishop Benjamin Dube, Pastor Omega Khunou, Teboho Moloi, Ayanda Ntanzi, Taki Ndou, Mpumi Mtshweni as well as Cannan Nyathi and Cindi Ntobela all from the ensemble of Spirit of Praise will also perform at the concert.

Reverend Pono Gakekgonwe, the spokesperson of Nna Le Ba Ntlo Yame Mega Festival, organised by the UCCSA, stated that funds raised from the event would be used to help vulnerable groups in different areas to enhance their dignity, give them a sense of belonging and also encourage them to participate meaningfully in community development activities despite their impoverished background.

The festival he said, would be a night of uplifting performances, bringing people together to unwind and celebrate God while also praying for stability in the upcoming general elections.

“Proceeds from the event will be channeled towards varied charitable initiatives including basic necessities such as food, shelter and healthcare amongst other necessities at mission schools such as the Lephoi Centre in Francistown and other organisations supported by the UCCSA,” he said.

He further said the event was an opportunity for artists to collaborate and benchmark from one another.  ENDS
