Miss Supranational Botswana, Leah Barobetse is in Poland to represent the country at one of the biggest pageants in the world scheduled for July 6. 

In an interview, Miss Supranational spokesperson, Kaone Moremong, said Barobetse would be in Poland for almost a month as she takes part in pre-judging activities. 

Moremong expressed her gratitude to the family and friends who came to bid her farewell. 

“I was really overwhelmed with emotions of joy, and the support was truly felt,” she said. 

Moremong emphasised the importance of continued support as Miss Supranational Botswana joins queens from almost 100 countries in Poland, all vying for the coveted crown. 

For her preparation, Barobetse has been filling herself with local cultural knowledge, by visiting cultural events and different places. She visited the Jwaneng diamond mine, among others. 

Commenting on her wardrobe, she said six designers had put together Barobetse’s wardrobe. 

Mafitlhakgosi Traditional Dance Troupe has hosted her, treating her to Botswana’s cultural music. 

As one of the benefits of her being a Miss Supranational Botswana queen, Barobetse stays in a fully furnished Supra apartment during her year of reign. In addition to the housing benefit, she also enjoys monthly groceries, all courtesy of the Miss Supranational Botswana organisation. ENDS
