The first Miss Supranational Queen, 23-year-old Dabilo Moses, has received a Haval Jolion SUV and scholarship post her reign.
The terms and conditions of her contract had stipulated that she will redeem the car upon the successful completion of her reign.
In an interview with BOPA, a spokesperson for Miss Supranational Botswana Kaone Moremong said during her reign, Moses resided in a fully furnished apartment, rent-free, with monthly groceries and utility bills covered by the organisation.
She said the queen had access to cleaning services and a spa at Fifi Fab Beauty, along with a monthly allowance. “All prizes and benefits for Miss Supranational were provided and funded by Something Big, the company holding the license for Miss Supranational Botswana,” she said.
Regarding Something Big, Moremong explained that it was a local company founded by creative individuals aiming to curate events and create employment opportunities for them and other creatives.
She further noted that Miss Supranational Botswana was their inaugural project, and soon they would be launching another big fashion and lifestyle project.
Presently, she said Something Big had not secured monetary sponsorships for Miss Supranational Botswana and was reaching out to the public and corporate organisations for partnerships.
“The team is dedicated to enhancing the lives of young women and empowering them to reach their full potential,” she said, adding that they believed the inception of Miss Supranational had proved their commitment and dedication to their aspirations.
She said the newly crowned Miss Supranational 2024, Leah Barobetse, was scheduled to depart for Poland on June 15th to participate in the Supra Experience, the international pageant competition.
The finale is set for July 6th and Barobetse will compete against national queens from over 90 countries. ENDS
