The annual Miss Millennium pageant got a shot in the arm from BotswanaPost. 

Speaking at the pageant sponsorship launch on Thursday, BotswanaPost chief corporate affairs and sustainability officer, Ms Tebogo Lebotse-Sebego said BotswanaPost was coming on board to push Miss Millennium pageant with Digipost. 

Lebotse-Sebego said Digipost was a gadget or device similar to a phone that had been in the market and was targeting vendors, offering most post office services such as renewal of motor vehicle registration, renewal of postal box and other insurance premiums. 

She said with Miss Millennium, they were to give each one of the 10 finalists the Digipost to run as a business and they were to get commission for each transaction made. 

She also said the Miss Millennium 2025 would be won by the contestant who made the most business through Digipost. 

She said women made an impact by being heads of families and breadwinners and the device was meant to help fend for families as well as avail the BotswanaPost platforms such as the Btv morning show and RB2 to run interviews and advertise the Miss Millennium pageant. 

Miss Millennium pageant has 14 sponsors among them Fearleass Gym, Mophane wa Makomoto, Moghul Restaurant, Spar Botswana, Absolute Beauty and others.  

The organiser of the pageant, Zenzele Hirshfeld said the current contestants were women aged between 41 and 60. 

She said the final would be held at the Millennium Jazz Restaurant in Mogoditshane on March 16 in the evening. 

The entrance fee is P60 per person. ENDS
