Speaking at the event, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mabuse Pule said the Miss RADP Beauty Pageant, popularly known as Miss RADP, had been running for 10 years and had grown immensely since its inception in 2013.

“I am happy to announce that the Mr RADP Fashion Show is in its third year since its launch in 2018. It brings me great joy to inform you that both these events have gained significant popularity and importance in the Botswana pageantry and modeling scene,” Pule said.

He added that the event was supported by the First Lady Neo Masisi, for the second time since she became patron.

Under her guidance, he said new initiatives were introduced among them the development of a booklet profiling all the contestants who participated last year, including information about their settlements.

“We are also planning do the same with the current contestants. We are also planning to profile all the contestants since the inception of this initiative in 2013. All these profiles will be shared with all our foreign missions to market this initiative and by extension Botswana,” he said.

He indicated that the Miss RADP beauty pageant and Mr RADP fashion show theme, Unearthing Natural Beauty and Talent, would remain the same because it acknowledged how the event valued diversity and uniqueness of culture and natural beauty found among young talented men and women from remote area communities.
