St Bernadette church choir is set to continuously empower, celebrate and bring together women in and outside the church. It will hold a  gala dinner dubbed the Modern Proverbs 31 Women at the church’s grounds on November 4 in Gaborone.

The event’s chief organiser, Kenanao Rakgano, said they intended to demonstrate that churches were about more than just praise and worship.

She said women possessed inspirational abilities and talents that ought to be recognised and supported.

“Bringing together women under the biblical teaching context intended to recognise and elevate the strength and capabilities of women” She said.

Rakgano said they also want to ensure that women have and maintain their voices towards decision making processes.

Activities of the day would include inspirational talks on how to navigate life challenges, parenting, financial literacy and entrepreneurial tactics amongst others.

Rakgano further said the event was set to reach out to the youth to encourage them towards community building activities. ENDS
