Gospel Drums Choir, a renowned musical ensemble known for its soul-stirring performances, is set to host its highly esteemed music festival on October 21st and simultaneously launch its third album. Founded in 1975 by the Serowe UCCSA youth, Gospel Drums Choir has since become a prominent force in the music industry with a mission to spread the gospel through its melodious tunes.
Gospel Drums Choir music director, Seabe Ratladi, said the group specializes in Acapella but also infuses African drums in their tunes leaving audiences captivated across dominions.
“The upcoming music festival promises to be a memorable experience featuring three other groups being, Tlotlo Lentswe, a gospel artiste from Bible Life Ministries; Hebrews Eleven, an Acapella group from the SDA church and Lister Boleseng,” he said. Ratladi said the festival would be held at the Westwood International School. For her part, the choir director, Ms Gaobotse Ngwisanyi, said the mandate of the choir extends beyond its musical prowess.
The choir is involved in charity, using its platform to make a difference in the community. “Recently we built a house for a less privileged individual in Serowe and we periodically provide food hampers and toiletry to children at the Serowe SOS,” she added.
With the release of its third album, ‘Heta Jaana Morwa Motho’, the choir continues to push boundaries of their artistry. Each of the 12 songs on the album is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a captivating and uplifting experience for all. Tickets for the music festival can be accessed from 71327166 or 71429003. Single tickets go for P150 each whereas a double ticket sells for P250. ENDS
