Local duo, Khoi San thrilled the audience at the Spring Picnic by Day music festival that was held at Bojanala Waterfront on Sunday.

The duo delivered a short show-stopping performance, perhaps as they were announced for the lineup at the last hour on the day of the event.

They performed their usual sing along hits, as well as some of their new material, which the audience received excitedly.

Bojanala Waterfront could not have ordered up a better weather on a perfect spring day, which got Batswana out of their homes a day after celebrating their 57th year of independence, to enjoy the Sunday jazzy vibes.

Mostly, baby boom audience was in attendance and the music was perfect with live band, remindin them of their yesteryear vibes.

With performances also from South Africa’s Sipho Hotstix Mabuse, the audience got a mind-blowing show and everyone was in awe of the old man’s dance moves.

His classic hit Burn Out was a highlight for many who reminisced on their memories of the song.

“This song reminds me of when I was young doing pageants. I won a beauty pageants with this song,” said an excited reveler, Mmaonyana Mmuso.

She excitedly said events such as these gave them an opportunity to also go out and meet their peers in a relaxed space where they were able to talk about their youthful memories.

“We also need to just for a moment not talk about family responsibilities. It helps mentally also,” she said.
