Francistown Colour Festival weekend
03 Aug 2023
Francistown Colour Festival, which was last hosted in 2014, returns August 5 to Limpopo Garden and Camp.
The colour festival is an energy-charged concert that involves the splashing of powder colours by revellers, paintball battle and kid’s corner.
One of the event organisers, Pablo Tshambani said in an interview that this year’s event would be bigger and better.
He said the festival was a vibrant celebration of unity, diversity and inclusivity.
“Our goal is to bring together people from all walks of life to enjoy a day full of music, food, and of course the colour that brings it all together.
Tshambani said the event was expected to attract double the number of fans from the 2014 festival.
“We expect more than 1 000 fans in and around Francistown.”
He said the main objective of the Francistown Colour Festival was to foster harmony amongst the regions’ various ethnic groups.
Tshambani said the festival was a family event but it also catered for friends and the corporate world to come for business networking in a pleasurable manner.
He appealed to revellers to come wearing white clothes that could be finished off with colourful paints, adding that activities at the event included colour flashing, face painting, zipline and quad bikes.
DJs in the likes of Que, Missy, Chen are expected to wrap up the day’s work. ENDS
