Second edition of Ghanzi Invasion music festival will be held at ‘Tha Garden house in Ghanzi’ on Saturday.

The festival held in collaboration with Ghanzi Agricultural show committee and other partners, under the theme, ‘Drive safe, play safe and live healthy’.

In an interview, one of the Ghanzi Invasion music festival organisers, Desmond Lunga explained that the event intended to create a conducive environment, where revellers would enjoy responsibly.

He said they held activations for two weeks prior to the main event, where they organised football tournaments with the aim to encourage people to be responsible in all aspects of life. 

“People were tested for various illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, our target though was men since they are reluctant to seek for health services,” he said.

Lunga highlighted that they advised revellers to use public transport especially taxis, adding that they had already made arrangements with Ghanzi Taxi Association in order to achieve their goal.

  Playing safe, which is part of the theme, he said was meant to encourage people to stop Gender based violence and engage in safe sex.

The line-up, he said included Han C, Ntate Stunna, Paige, Vee Mampeezy, Chef Gustos, Sphalaphala SaGa Marothi, Franco, Overcast, Sereetsi and the Natives and many more performers.

He said the line-up was made of many local artists and assured Batswana of an improved festival. Ends
