Ke Dinaledi, an art exhibition by Prince Tom and Ronald Kegomoditswe, will premiere at Masa Hotel on Saturday.

Explaining the exhibition title: Ke Dinaledi, Kegomoditswe said they initially wanted something deep and complex, but they ended up settling for a simple yet evocative and memorable theme.

Artistically known as Ron de artist, Kegomoditswe said the theme could also refer to subjects used in the paintings.

He added that the way they had  used light and colour could depict stars to some people, or even looking at each painting as a star in a larger artistic universe.

“It could also mean that as artists we are stars, we are important, special and worthy of admiration,” he said.

The Sefophe native said he believed that art was a way to express thoughts and emotions in a way that words could not.

“It is our hope that through this exhibition you will be able to see the world through our eyes and understand the beauty that surrounds us,” Kegomoditswe said.

Kegomoditswe has had a few solo exhibitions and Tom had a solo last year called The ballad of a butterfly, which was an ode to his late mum.

In 2020, the duo held an exhibition in Gaborone called Maitemogelo.

The art exhibition will start at 4pm and entrance is free. Ends
