Stiga Sola calls for creativity quality music

Folk music artiste, Monaga Molefi popularly known as Stiga Sola has urged upcoming artistes to be creative and produce quality music.
In an interview recently, Molefi said quality music had substance and required skill.
Therefore, he said it was in the best interest of newbies to work closely with well-established musicians, for them to grow.
Stiga Sola said that the entertainment industry looked appealing and attracted young talented people, however he expressed concern that many were struggling to survive because they lacked experience and proper skills.
He said good song evokes emotions, Stiga Sola saying artistes of yester years were successful because they produced songs which brought hope and soothed souls.
“We became famous because we worked like journalists and crafted songs basing on what was happening in the society.
We were also free to compose our own tunes to fit the song to any existing melody hence we managed to carry the traditional pop genre forward,” he added.
One of his productions, a long song Kachiree speaks against toxic relationships and Stiga Sola said through it he wanted to convey a message of love, that love was patient.
Inspired by South African, Steve Kekana, Stiga Sola said his music had stood the test of time.
He said many musicians were quite capable but did not have proper support and advised them to be more innovative in terms of marketing adding that the industry had grown due the support from government and cititzens. ENDs
