 South African renowned gospel musician Omega Khunou will feature local gospel songstress Esther Grace on the live recording of his untitled album on March 4 in South Africa.

Grace of No One Like You fame is elated about the opportunity of sharing stage with an artiste of Khunou’s stature. 

In an interview recently, Grace said she was happy about the development of singing along international artistes as it gave hope  that they too could make it to international stage, especially after the effects of COVID-19.

While it was an opportunity for her to represent her own brand, she viewed it as a plus for Botswana gospel industry. 

“This is a dream come true, I’m excited to perform to a large audience alongside talented and renowned artistes,” she said

As a Christian, she said she believed that God, the giver of gifts had made people creative beings and she was grateful for her gift. 

The local star said meeting Khunou at an event several years ago gave birth to this opportunity.

“Since then our relationship has seen us contributing to each other’s lives. 

Each time my husband and I host musical events Omega is part of it,” she said. 

She said many artistes had asked to feature her husband David Grace songs in their albums, but he has always maintained that they will, but at the right time.

On New Year’s eve, while Omega was visiting them at their place of worship, Kingdom Embassy International, he heard her singing one of her husband’s songs and was wowed. 

On New Year’s Eve Omega asked Grace’s husband to permit him to feature her in a particular song in his upcoming album.

Together with her husband, they have written songs, producing an album and two singles playing on Btv, One Gospel, Trace TV and several radio stations. 

Her husband has helped shape her music career and she said she was happy that two important things happened to them at the same time, which included being recognised for her gift by an international artiste and that of her husband’s ability to write such beautiful songs.

“It’s a surprise and I’m really hopeful that people will be blessed by the song and have an amazing experience. All I can say is that this is one of the many songs that my husband has written. 

We are excited to share it with the world after waiting for the right time, and the time is now,” she said.

Grace also mentioned that her husband, who has been her greatest support system and has helped mold her to be a singer/songs writer, was an Apostle of God and he wrote songs inspired by God’s messages to him. ENDS
