Ghanzi cmmunity has been urged to celebrate and make the reigning Mr RADP king Vincent Gobuamang to drive initiatives geared at combating social ills affecting their community.

Qabo settlement dweller, Gobuamang was crowned Mr RADP fashion show king last year, hence he should be viewed as a brand ambassador.

Ghanzi District Council chairperson, Jeremiah Tibi shared these sentiment recently, during the launch of Gobuamang (Mr RADP king) to Ghanzi community by Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Talita Monnakgotla

He appealed  Ghanzi community including government officials to use Mr RADP to raise awareness of social ills, drug and alcohol abuse.

Tibi said Gobuamang could be used promote government initiatives and programmes. For her part Monnakgotla encouraged the community to guide Mr RADP to become a better role model to the community. a

She said Gobuamang has put Ghanzi on the map by clinching Mr RADP tittle. Monnakgotla hailed Miss /Mr RADP pageant initiative for unearthing natural beauty, talent and promoting the culture of entrepreneurship.

The assistant minister said given the support from the First lady Neo Masisi who is the patron, coupled with Reset Agenda she was confident that the pageant would reach greater heights.

Kgosi Annah Rankho of Ghanzi township said the moment Gobuamang was crowned Mr RADP king he became a legend and therefore encouraged him to be an inspiration to the community.

Ghanzi District Council Secretary, Dick Kalantle said Miss and Mr RADP pageant should be turned into a brand and appealed to the public to open doors for Mr RADP to execute his duties with ease. ENDS
