While others would be celebrating love by sending cards, chocolates and gifts to their loved ones, some Selebi Phikwe residents would colour the Anne Adam’s Park red and black at the upcoming candle-lit Valentine’s Day dinner

Celebrated on February 14, the lovers would be serenaded to live performances from different music genres with the likes of former My Star winner Ontefetse, Sax Giveon the saxophonist, DJ Phax, Micah and MC Alpha.

The black tie event would be open to individuals, couples, corporate and relevant stakeholders with tickets sold at P330 for two, P180 for individuals or P1 800 for a package of 10.“

Valentine’s Day celebration has shifted from being strictly about lovers but it’s also a day where friends and family can show affection for one another,” said one of event organisers and also BW’s top male model Cendric Senna, in an interview.

He explained that the dinner would be the first of its kind as the event offered a set up that is unique and open for relaxation.

Born and raised in Selebi Phikwe, the 31-year-old model who also made his name as a make-up artist and very much known for his flawless, peerless facial beats aspires to bring glitz and glamour events to the copper mining town.

He believes that mining alone was not enough to breathe life into Selebi Phikwe hence events such as this one would contribute positively to the awakening of the once vibrant township economy.Tickets for the dinner would be sold at Browns, Executive inn, Blue Lagoon Hair Salon and Shell filling station.
