Omphile Joseph, a 37-year-old from Tutume has released an inspirational book that hinges around passion.

The 24-page book titled Passion-A Stepping Stone in Life has 20 chapters which the writer describes as having a strong point on one’s dreams becoming a reality.

Joseph said though the book targets both primary and secondary school going children, it is also useful for adults.

“We have to catch them young so that when they grow up they know what is expected of them,” he said, adding that in most cases young children find it hard to choose what they want to do later in life.

Joseph said the main objective of the book is to motivate the youth as well as boost their confidence and uplift those who have low self-esteem.

“It is also to encourage good interpersonal skills, promote good morals and behaviour as well as establish the spirit of cooperation in communities,” he said Joseph, who has an Associate Degree in International Tourism and Hospitality from Limkokwing University of Creative Arts, says the book also gives advice that life is a journey and that ‘on that journey they will always face challenges. 

He said life needed strong people who could identify problems and come up with  possible solutions.

He said people should not let their backgrounds limit them, but be driven by their passion. 

“Everyone in life has the ability to conquer the world with the talent they have, regardless of their educational and family background,” said the writer, who is currently working for ShopRite Group of Companies in Francistown.

Joseph also encourages hustling, which he says is not only about looking for a job, but to be hungry in doing something.

He urges people not to give up when things get hard and have a positive mind-set that ‘it is all up to you, whether I succeed or fail’.
