DJ Twaza hopes to grow sell music in South Africa

A move to South Africa has resuscitated DJ Twaza’s musical career.

Under the tutelage of his manager Zachariah Monama, Tlhwaafalang Tebogo known as DJ Twaza in the entertainment industry made the decisive move to South Africa, Polokwane where he is currently based.

DJ Twaza (30) said in an interview that his move to South Africa was more focused on enhancing his music career and expanding his market base.

He said the move has turned out to be fruitful and it has catapulted his career to greater heights and ultimately opening up new windows for his music.  

Despite making such a breakthrough, DJ Twaza has admitted that his musical career was still growing and therefore he was ready to grab any opportunity availed to him. In an interview with this publication.

He said his journey in the music industry started in 2012 with the release of a house-gospel album dubbed Gaufi le Morena, a project that saw the light of the day through support from his family.

Following his move to South Africa, DJ Twaza released his second album titled Testify.

“Relocating to South Africa has enabled me to meet different artists who are much further in their careers. I have worked with DJ Call Me on Testify album. I have also worked with more others like Cindy Nkosazana, TPZ, Double Trouble and Leon Lee,” said DJ Twaza.

DJ Twaza said relocating to SA was equally important in growing his young music career.

 He is convinced that the music lovers in SA were falling in love with what he was giving to them.

As such, DZ Twaza said local artists must work hard to establish and amass following. He said the following that SA artists were getting from Batswana was huge and therefore at times one has to liaise with them to up his game.

“I am without doubt that local artists were growing and some were at par with well-known SA artists,” he said.

Despite staying in SA, DJ Twaza said he was part of the gigs that were held in the country during the past festive season and as such believe his presence was equally felt by the local fans.

 As part of the his local events, DJ Twaza will be hosting a musical event dubbed Ba Bize Bonke on April 29 in Maun which will feature international artists like Cindy Nkosazana, Double Trouble, Makhendlas and DJ TPZ and other local artists.

He said the Ba Bize Bonke event would be an annual event that would ensure the growth of local artists through the support of music legends that have opened their hands to helping the upcoming local artists. Ends
