DStv Botswana aims to improve service media relations

12 Dec 2022

As part of  efforts to improve service to their consumers as well as relationship with media, DStv Multichoice Botswana recently held a meet and greet session where they engaged with local media.

“We want feedback from media on how best we can improve our service to the public as well as our relationship with media. We believe in the power of media because our impact as an organisation is through media,” Multichoice Botswana Head of Marketing Laone Phologolo said.

Engaging with media for the past years proved to be a challenge owing to COVID-19, but the DStv Botswana team wanted to pick where they left off to revive media relations, Phologolo said.

Managing Director of Multichoice Botswana Stephanie Pillay said as a new management, they saw it necessary to reflect on their partnership with media especially after the past years of the pandemic.

“We know the impact and role you play as media, and we wish to make ourselves better and work efficiently with you,” said Pillay committing to a fruitful and effective working relation going forward.

She added that they appreciated  and recognised contribution of media to their business.

She said they were excited to be working with the local creative space next year.

Without disclosing more, she said they had a couple of productions which would involve local content as well as engaging local productions in storytelling.

She hinted that Multichoice was planning on exposing more local music on their music channels, something she said would be revealed in detail once plan was approved and ready for implementation. ENDs
