Avani Hotel will this Saturday host parents and children at the outdoor fun, food and family relaxation event dubbed Avani Fam Fest.

The hotel’s Public Relations and Marketing Executive, Samantha Bogopa said expressed in an interview that they were  excited since this fam fest was a comeback for the hotel after the hospitality industry was hard hit by COVID-19 pandemic.

Bogopa also said the hotel, which has been named Botswana’s leading hotel by the World Travel Awards this year, saw the event as an opportunity  for parents to bond with their children.

“We don’t have much time to play with the kids as we are always swamped by our careers, therefore the idea is for parents to play with the kids and have fun,” she said.

She said activities for the day included face painting, car carts and photo booth.

Bogopa said the day would also feature mascots, clowns and different games that would  also contribute to boosting children’s confidence, teach effective conflict resolution and also promote adaptability and resilience.

She said the children would  also be given free popcorn and candy floss, because ‘with many activities during the day they will need a burst of energy’.

Bogopa said already many were buying tickets for their families and some were making enquiries, therefore she believed that the event was going to be successful.

She said the hotel used to host such events, therefore “with the fam fest we are relaunching ourselves to remind Batswana that with our 199 rooms and suites we are at their service,” she said.

Tickets to the Avani Fam Fest 2022 go for P100 for adults and P50 for children. Ends
