Multitudes of Bahurutshe boo Mochibidu on  Saturday filled Mmankgodi main kgotla to witness Kgosi Thobega Solofela Thobega II's coronation. Kgosi Thobega, who was draped in a leopard skin by Kgosi Kgari Sechele III of Bakwena, is the son of the late Kgosi Letlole Thobega and wife Josephina (also diseased). He assumed the role of bogosi as senior chief's representative in 2019. Guest speaker, Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance & Public Administration, Mr Kabo Morwaeng declared government's commitment in protecting bogosi as its pivotal stakeholder in nation-building. Other dignitaries present were area MP and Minister of Defence and Security, Mr Kagiso Mmusi, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Sethabelo Modukanele and Kgosi Kebinatshwhene Mosiele of Bahurutshi boo Ntsho in Manyana. Bahurutshi royals from South Africa and Lesotho, among them Kgosi Victor Suping and Kwena Mangope also graced the occasion.
