Plans for Modern Tswana Fashion Week activation slated for Stay Well Hotel on Saturday are on track.

The activation themed;  Celebrating African Culture Through Fashion, will be paving a way for the inaugural Modern Tswana Week billed for May.

Speaking in an interview, the coordinator, Nchidzi James said the inception of Modern Tswana Fashion Week received thumps up from Batswana, hence they had been hosting small themed fashion events including My Fashion Night Out Fashion Show, which he said went well and was highly rated in the fashion industry of Botswana.

James said the past events gave them heads up, especially on how to organise a fashion show and how to build a perfect team that would execute it.   

“Designers Boi’s Eleganza Designs, Petty Designs, Sparkle Designs, ND Crochets, Rags Designs, Rapelang Ditlhanolo and Faith Designs will be showcasing at the launch,” he said.

Also, James said the fashion show was meant to show people how the Tswana fashion look had evolved over the years.

The event will be graced by local entertainers such as talented singer and songwriter Dato Seiko. ENDS
