First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) Foundation has donated P50 000 to outgoing Miss Botswana, Palesa Molefe.

When handing over the cheque, FNBB Chairperson, Myra Sekgororoane said the gesture served both as a token of appreciation and a farewell gift.

“We would like to extend our appreciation to Miss Botswana, Palesa Molefe for putting our country on the map by representing us very well at the Miss World competitions,” she said.

She also said Palesa was an influential public figure, therefore exemplary to most young people.

Palesa thanked FNBB foundation for the gesture, saying the Miss Botswana title had added value to her life as a young woman.

She thanked her mother and Batswana for the support.

The FNBB chief executive officer, Steven Bogatsu also thanked Palesa for displaying the reflection of where we come from as a nation at Miss World.

He said she was also a role model for young women.

Palesa will on October 22, handover the crown to Miss Botswana 2022, at a contest to be held the Fairscape Precinct in Gaborone. ENDS
