Junior Miss Botswana auditions April 30

31 Mar 2022

After a two-year break necessitated by COVID-19 pandemic, Junior Miss Botswana pageant is back, with auditions penciled for April 30. The auditions will be sponsored by CB stores to the tune of P30 000.

According to Madam Queen Modelling Agency’s director, Queen Kolobe girls aged six to14 were welcomed. Kolobe was happy that the pageantry that had been running for nine years continued to build girls confidence and teaching them about self-awareness, Botho and the value of community work.

She said they had also catered for aspiring beauty queens around the country who would audition virtually.

“They will send application forms which are downloaded through our social media platforms and forward their pictures as well as videos.

We have always catered for them even during previous competitions,” she said. Kolobe said the prices would go to six girls and thanked sponsors such as Choppies for having been assisting them. Former Junior Miss Botswana, Palesa Mokopakgosi had also pledged to give winners of the competition beauty products hampers, noted Kolobe.

She pleaded with sponsors to help grow the beauty pageant industry in Botswana as it was one way of teaching a girl child to be responsible and to learn the importance of giving back to the community. ENDS
