WHO AM I brunch for women March 5
27 Feb 2022
March 5 will see the first ever therapeuti event for women kick off.
The event, WHO AM I, which is the brain child of Doreen Moji will host women who would engage in a therapeutic session and converse with themselves.
Further, the event to be held at Avani comes at an opportune time in March, which is Women’s month.
The event’s director Moji, a retired lecturer said in an interview that the day will benefit women who in the end will discover their potential and figure out their own story lines.
“It is very vital to sit down, and have a good chat with yourself, this is therapeutic too as you learn about yourself, and above all love yourself,” she said.
As a woman who has travelled the world motivating people she has learnt that people never have time for self-talk. Moji said people’s emotions and mood were the by-products of how they think and feel.
“There is much anger on social media platforms, and many people are depressed and suicide statistics have skyrocketed, this is due to lack of self-talk,” Moji said.
During the session women would learn that people who converse with themselves, were more productive, motivated and confident.
The concept she said will not only end with women, as this was her first event, she confirmed that the next session will be with Men and also will extend to the youth and all.
One aspect to grow the initiative, is not to forget the elderly and she said she also planned to host a related event in Tlokweng where she comes from.
“Wisdom really comes with age, so our parents are smart and experienced, they guide well so by having them on board will help us.”
Who AM I uplifting brunch director also said developing this healthy habit would help to end what the society was presently experiencing, the rage and disappointments that caused people to end up taking wrong decisions.
She said conversations with herself has helped her managed her daily life, hence she would like to impart the skills, wisdom and share her experience with other people, whether the rich, old or poor.
“I have also learnt to accommodate everyone because you never stop learning, a conversation with someone by the road will also help me gain a wisdom nugget.”
The women will have an interactive session and share life tips. ENDS
