06 Feb 2022

The sip and plan concept has been hailed as a success since inception three years ago.

The concept aims to empower people realise their dreams.

Speaking about the concept Saturday, host and chief visionary officer at Etiquette Training Hub, Tefo Atholang said the objective was to empower people to achieve what they wanted to do by illustrating in a vision board.

She said organising the event was appropriate at the beginning of the year as it presented an opportunity for people to develop a pathway to channel their focus.

She also said it would help people to reignite their inner fire and to have passion for life.

“A vision board is a collage of images, pictures and affirmations of one’s dreams and desires designed to serve as a source of inspiration and motivation,” she said .

At the event, guests drew their vision board. Atholang said one may also make an online board by cutting and pasting to visualise their plans.

Atholang advised them to eliminate all limiting thoughts to be where they wanted to be in life.

“Journal what you want to do so that your vision board doesn’t leave anything behind.

However leave some space for magic, you never know what you might need to add,” said the chief visionary officer.

One of those who benefitted from the concept, Kutlo Mophuting said it has helped her to buy a house.

“My vision board manifested into reality,” she said, adding that it helped to evaluate plans.

“I encourage people to do it because it bears fruit,” she said.

Kabo Garechaba, a radio personality and motivational speaker, encouraged guests to choose what they read or heard on the news for a good mindset. He said some of the news people listened had the power to corrode the mind, “Listen or read news that is appealing to your mind,” he said.

Malik Shehu, a financial advisor, took guests through the process of being friends with your money.

He said money and discipline were inseparable.

“You can save every month,” he said.

Boitshoko Molefi, a microbiologist and photographer based in the USA, said people needed to give themselves some love in order to achieve their goals.
