Gabs Power Cycle (GPC) lifestyle event has been praised by Botswana influencers who labeled it as a platform for them to mingle and appreciate a pool of fans who mould them to be what they are in society.

Kelebogile Megano, an emerging influencer who spoke on behalf of her female counterparts said she was excited about the Friday launch of GPC concept, which in future would become the country’s top event with prospects to increase the brand’s visibility.

Megano, who is a chef, content creator and a presenter, thanked the organisers for inviting top influencers in the likes of Faith Nketsi, to build the brand and share knowledge with upcoming influencers.

The TV personality said social media was a powerful tool and after recognising that, Batswana had joined the world in acknowledging influencers.

As a young 22-year-old Motswana, Megano aspires to motivate children in Botswana to be where they want to be, which is why she pays attention to her content on social media and enjoys a following of 160 000 on Instagram.

The GPC has also been appreciated by the elite who attended the session in numbers.

Tumisang Molefe is one of Gaborone socialites who has been yearning for such an exclusive event. “People of a certain class are able to enjoy high value activities in a small circle and in a more comfortable set up for their class,” Molefe said.

She said the influencer culture would undoubtedly continue to shape the way people lived and noted that the emergence of GPC was also a platform to support local entrepreneurs.

Her hair, make up and clothing were bought locally, that, she said, was her contribution to local entrepreneurship.

Kutlwano Kgosimore was also excited to experience the new lifestyle event. She said it was a beautiful concept and would encourage influencers across the country.

She appreciated being in the presence of influencers such as Megano, whom she said was an icon determined to motivate young people.

“Crystal Paradise is also accessible so, it being the host is a good sign that the concept will be successfu,” she said.

Dj Unanimous 1 and Mr Yummy performed  alongside other artistes who graced the event. ENDS
