South African influencer, model, entrepreneur Faith Nketsi and  local influencers will grace the elegant lifestyle session dubbed Gabs Power Circle at Crystal Paradise lounge today.

The show themed: Queens Edition, the brain child of Ushe Dodzi and Osman Khan, will feature the first edition of local female influencers Kagiso Sento, Sadi Dikgaka, Kelebogile Megano and Wame John who would interact with foreign influencer.

In an interview on Wednesday, Khan aka Mr Yummy said the stylish and classy event, the first of its kind, was a concept of local influencers.

“Our notion is to create a classy, dominant circle and identify spots that can house them. We want to ensure that whatever we touch turns to gold and the events meet fans expectations,” he said.

He said Nketsi was roped in given her experience in the industry to exchange notes with the locals to shape the concept.

Khan said they had  benchmarked and grown their online presence, over the 20 years he had been in the industry, hence the idea of hosting the female version and hosting a small circle of fashionable people who want to enjoy and spend their moneys.

“Batswana travel to South Africa for such classy events, therefore we want them to have the taste of these sessions locally. Influencers events attracts high class people and prominent people, donning elegant outfits, to enjoy and appreciate such shows,” Khan said.

The event, he said did not target many people but chic people who wanted to be in their circle and appreciated fashion, beauty and good music.

Gabs Power Circle, he said would be a monthly event, with each month featuring a particular themes and dress code.

Khan said idea of making it monthly was to break the spell of classy events in Botswana failing to survive up to six months.

He said they wanted to end the trend of locals going outside the country for such sessions.

One of the pioneers of the show Dodzi alias DJ Unanimous 1 said they have targeted Instagram influencers since the nature of the show was palatable to their content.

“The day will start up with welcoming Nketsi at the airport. The crew will also have lunch where they will be served Botswana cuisine to appreciate the culture,” he said.

Both Dodzi  and Khan will perform. Dikgaka said in an interview that she was excited for the event seeing that it was one of a kind and had never been done before. “It’s always encouraging to see women being celebrated,” said the Flava Dome Presenter.

The plan is for Gabs Power Circle to spread to other areas such as Maun, Francistown in the near future. Ends
