The third annual Kanye Kiddies Festival scheduled for December 27 at Wena Tented Camp is expected to feature the child rising star, Ming Chong Huang, popularly known as Chongchong

The four-year-old crowd puller, who is currently trending across social media networks, is an epitome of inter-racial integration and also resonates well with the objective of the event, which is inclusiveness.

“Chongchong is not only a crowd puller, but he is also a motivating factor for other kids to learn Setswana.

We found it appropriate to include him in this event, to broaden our target market,” said the organiser of the event, Michael Sekaba of Uncle Dipopae in an interview.

Sekaba noted that this year they decided to also grow the event by incorporating the education aspect by engaging professional educators for tutoring during the event.

“We are going to have a mobile classroom, where tutors will assist kids with various subjects such as Mathematics.

We are also going to have educational games to stimulate their minds while at the same time enjoying themselves,” he explained.

The integration of education and recreation is intended to stimulate children’s minds in a relaxed environment away from the formal classroom set-up.

In addition to performances by various local artistes and DJs, the event will also feature a five aside soccer tournament, tug of war, egg race as well as dance and singing competition, among other activities. ENDS
