Makhadzi show benefits community

After COVID-19 put a stop to live music events worldwide last year, life is gradually returning to the way it was before the pandemic and music enthusiasts are excited.
South African artiste, Makhadzi, who has been frequenting Botswana lately was a marvel to watch when she performed at Serowe Sports Complex on Friday, a night that also benefitted vendors.
The show was hosted by the 3 Queens ft. King B entertainment. Limpopo-born talent, enjoys great following in Botswana and has already held shows in Gaborone and Francistown with more planned for this month.
Makhadzi has made quite an impression at all her shows and Serowe was no different.
Music revelers from Selebi Phikwe, Francistown, Gaborone and nearby villages came to witness the Murahu, Ghanama and Matorokisi hitmaker.
The crowd was a decent lot and security services worked overtime to control the few rowdy ones.
Makhadzi took to the stage around 2am, sending the crowd wild despite most having arrived at the stadium in the evening the previous day and having been on their feet for the better part of the show.
She arrived under heavy escort dressed in a red ensemble and screaming “dumelang Batswana, ke a lo rata,” as she warmed up to give her audience their money’s worth. The audience danced and sang along gleefully to gagalanga, dikuku, fhumulani and energy.
It was a big night for vendors too, who had the opportunity to sell food and drinks, and the hospitality industry also benefitted from those who lodged at their establishments. ENDS
