Grace releases AntHill book

14 Nov 2021

Gospel artiste and life coach, Apostle David Grace has penned his humble beginnings, living in a thatched mud hut shared with many of his siblings and mum in his book titled AntHill: Lessons from the Ants.

The author expresses that abject poverty does not determine one’s ending, hence likening his life to that of an ant that despite its minute size, was able to survive, a notion derived from his experience years ago.

“As I bit through the middle of the bread, tiny ants rolled all over my face and bit me everywhere,” he said in the book.

Even though  furious about this bad encounter, he became curious to learn more about the ants, he told a fully packed session of mostly business people during the book launch at Gaborone’s Avani Hotel on Saturday.

The author, who is also John Maxwell certified life coach said ants used crumbs to build their empire, therefore people needed to learn that in order to live a successful life.

The ever smiling Apostle Grace also said the inspiration of the title anthill comes from his own personal life as a young boy who grew up in abject poverty.

Through his research, he discovered amazing things that humans could learn from ants.

In an interactive session with another life coach, Prophet Boago Ramogapi, the author said he learnt that the ants collaborated to achieve their dreams, a trait that the society could emulate in order to be successful.

“Ants have taught me that unity is the strength of the army, let’s build an anthill because there are different components that make us.”

The 39-year-old said the book will teach readers how to gain knowledge and wisdom needed to live more efficiently and cooperatively.

The achievement of anthill building, he said, was historic to him and learnt that they build their empire in silence.

“Ants build sky scrapers and we should learn that we are the ants that are in a mission to make a better world,” he said.

His said through the book he hopes to witness people succeed in life, career, marriage and even their academic journeys.

Even though ants live in a hostile environment, they make their mark, he said.

Apostle Grace wife, Esther said her family  was grateful to God for the milestone, adding that what Apostle Grace went through in life was God’s way to fashion him into a vessel that could serve His people.

She said her husband sacrificed a lot to pen the book, and placed it in his heart with the whole world in mind.

Esther said her husband had a passion for humanity and had made a difference in many people’s lives.

Apostle Grace is the founder and senior pastor of Kingdom Embassy International.

He is also the founder and patron of Destiny Club, which is a student organisation. ENDS
