Upcoming motswako/hip hop/rap artist, Mookamedi Nyangane aka Killerbiest, aged 25, has urged fellow upcoming artists to keep working hard to achieve their dreams.
In an interview recently, Killerbiest said though he joined the music industry in 2016, his first album titled: Main Switch would be released this September.
The album consists of 20 songs, among them Regret, Mammy daddy, Mmapula, Confusion and Badimo, which have been played on RB2 .
Killerbiest said the main aim of the album was to educate people about situations that might land them in trouble without them being aware that they had broken the law.
He gave as an example his song Ga se nna that talks about defilement.
He said that most of his songs were motivational, something that he wants to be recognised for, in the future.
“Even though I faced many challenges, COVID-19 has never been a barrier to my dreams. I believe that at times, challenges are meant to strengthen us,” he said.
Killerbiest said one of the challenges he faced was lack of funds and expressed gratitude to his friends, who he said supported him in everything he was doing. He said he worked with the likes Bomber Beats, DJ Moist, Juda Kess and APK Records, adding that teamwork had helped a lot.
He urged Batswana to support the album, adding he dreams of collaborating with artists like Vee Mampeezy and ATI.
Killerbiest encouraged all to stay safe and urged the youth to not let the COVID-19 pandemic shut down their dreams.
Peezy, who has worked with Killerbiest since high school, described him as a self-driven, patient person, who believed in what he did. ENDS
