It is during challenging times such as the current COVID-19 pandemic when there is not a single day that goes without receiving news that dampen one’s spirits, that people can do with some distraction.

This is what brought together Johnson Masase (32), Sedireng Molatlhegi (20) and Sakie Malunga (45), to be that ray of hope to many.

Central Comedians is their pseudonym and their mission is to soothe the hearts of those affected by COVID-19.

With a tagline, ‘Le to tshega’ the trio who live with disability reckon their different conditions is what get people to take notice.

Molatlhegi and Masase, who live with dwarfism go by the names Mr Lizard and Mr Mjohnie respectively, while Malunga who stutters, uses Mr SA as his stage name.

Malunga said they hoped others living with disability would learn  from them and use their talent.

He said the group, based in Tshimoyapula used social media platforms to air their productions and had been assisted by Zwakala Clothing brand, which provided them with clothing for their performances.
