Gaongalelwe pens Wisdom for Singles

05 Jul 2021

Singleness is not a waiting room for marriage and marriage is not a cure for loneliness.

Speaking during launch of his book titled Wisdom for Singles in Gaborone on Thursday, Thuso Gaongalelwe said  being single had become  toxic because most people spent time bemoaning their singleness, instead of maximising and embracing the phase.

“We live in the days where singleness seems to be a sin, a curse or sickness and productive and happy singles are an endangered species,” he said.

It is against this backdrop that Gaongalelwe, who is also a Pastor and life coach, penned the book to aptly define singleness according to God’s perspective and the matchless blessings that came with this critical phase of life.

He highlighted that a clear and accurate understanding of what singleness was, would help individuals have good relationships and ultimately good marriages.

In addition, Gaongalelwe said the book aim would offer singles access to a journey of practices that were both fun and profound for today’s generations.

“All successful relationships begin with a thorough understanding and appreciation of singleness,” he indicated.

Moreover, Gaongalelwe said the book propounded the view that most times people carried their singleness into their marriages, something he said  would contribute to the shape of their marriages.

“The book is brought to you in the hope that it will help you to maximize your singleness and enjoy your life while at it,” he said.

For her part, Dawn Bell Publishers, Ndiko Muzila said Wisdom for Singles was inspirational and practical.

She  praised the author for writing a book that would provide singles with valuable insights and information within the context of our culture, generation and Christian values. that pointed to their full potential, purpose and prosperity to living their best lives. ENDS
