Twenty-three-year-old student, Theo Ngubo, popularly known by the stage name G-Fuego, is a true mastermind and a jack of all trades.

He is an actor, a marketing agent for other entrepreneurs and the list goes on. 

G-Fuego is fast becoming a role model for other young Batswana to look up to him if his achievements and self-drive are anything to go by.

Currently, in his final year at the University of Botswana where he is studying Bachelor of Finance, Ngubo has taken it upon himself to use the knowledge acquired to pursue his passions. 

His creed is crystal clear; there is no excuse for anyone not to become what they were meant to be in life.

“Not once have I ever felt entitled to anything, I always made sure that I opened opportunities for myself and have since gotten used to it and see opportunities in literally everything,” he said in an interview with BOPA.

He has for instance leveraged fame derived from his former position as the Minister of Entertainment and Secretary-General of the student representative council to sell his music as G-Fuego the artiste.

“After getting the recognition from Batswana I registered my company, Fuego Enterprises, which is currently my foremost exciting and enterprising project,” he added.

The company sells Fuego foods, which includes biltong and full-course meals, clothes inscribed with words from his claim to fame song, Never lose me.

Another item that he has recently started selling is Fuego hand sanitisers thanks to the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ideas to eke out a living according to the budding entrepreneur are infinite. 

Ngubo has thus created a movement under the slogan ‘Someone Asked God Answered’ (SAGA), which acts as a platform to encourage individuals especially young people never to give in to challenges they are faced with but to pursue their purposes in life.

“I believe that everyone is born to be a blessing to someone. Consider yourself as an answer to someone else’s prayer,” he said.

Ngubo attributes his success to determination and self belief.

“Of course, my parents only financially contribute to his ideas after getting convinced I am doing well in them. I actually started off with little savings from my stipend and here I am today.

Being honest with yourself is another important aspect and the ability to avoid any negativity you come across. 

If you know yourself, you can never let anyone fill you with self-doubt or talk you out of any goal you have set for yourself,” he added.

He passionately encourages the youth to have fun with life and all that it has to offer. 

He offers to create awareness, educate them and come up with crazy ideas that will enable them to have fun at the same time making money. ENDS
