Khoisans Mpuledise tops charts

Khoisan music duo, Oratile Kofa and Thabang Sefako have made it clear that they are a force to reckon with by unleashing yet another hot single track dubbed, Mpuledise.
The award winning duo signed under Roc Lefatshe Executive three years back, are known for fine tunes and ability to dominate local airplay with their previous singles such as Marabele, Senanapo and Ntu Se Thubege among others, a feat they achieved well shortly after making entry into the saturated industry.
The recently released Mpuledise track is also a continuation of their creative journey, as it managed to shake the air waves barely two months after its release. .
Information gathered from iTunes Botswana revealed that the track has been number one on the top 100 most played tracks from Botswana for a period of three weeks now.
The information also showed that the track received 100 000 view on Facebook 12 hours after it was officially released the number kept increasing and so far all views received to date on Facebook are more than and 300 000 while on Yo Tube it received 188 000 viewers from different parts of the world.
In an interview, one of the group members, Kofa, expressed delight at the support they continued to receive locally and across borders.
She said it was an overwhelming experience that had kept them going and propelling them to push beyond limits.
She said the track was pre launched late last year and officially released last month.
Kofa said they always strived to compose songs that addressed everyday life situations and through the Mpuledise track, the intention was to deliver a message that would uplift listeners and help to heal souls of those who were going through difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic era.
She said the song gave assurance that there was life after death and all the deceased were at peace.
“So many heart breaking issues have happened including the COVID 19 pandemic. Most people are left broken from different losses, so we decided to drop the song that would be relevant and uplifting souls of those affected,” she said.
The other member of the group, Sefako said they had always embraced the power of hard work, through their determination and passion towards their work, as they had managed to remain relevant throughout the years and tackled challenges they encountered.
The pair has a good command and ability to use Setswana language in their lyrics, whenever they sing lines such ko mmele wa aka o itheetsang teng, and Mpuledise’ one can feel the impact of the lyrics and the beats especially if you recently lost a loved one. ENDS
