DJ KSB releases Phendula single

24 Feb 2021

Kealeboga Sedumedi, alias DJ KSB, has released a new single dubbed Phendula featuring South African vocalist, Juizee.

The 28-year-old DJ and producer is not new in the entertainment industry, as he used to be a resident DJ at RB2’s Automatic Drive show and also co-resident DJ on BTV music show Flava Dome.

The talented entertainer said given  his immersion in the industry he deemed it time to make a break into the dog-eat-dog industry, a move that he viewed not easy as the industry was already saturated and not easy to penetrate.

The people’s DJ said the trending single titled Phendula, a Zulu word translated as answer featured Juizee from Limpopo.

The concept came after realising that he had been praying and hoping that God would hear his prayers, but felt like something was lacking.

“So I decided to ask God to respond to my prayers and that I need a one-on-one conversation with him so he can hear my sorrows since the life journey is not an easy one. The song was released two months back under a South African label Jozi Entertainment in all digital stores and radio,” he said.

DJ KSB further said he produced the song while Juizee did the vocals. He said the song was currently doing well in all platforms from topping the iTunes, Deezer & Shazam dance charts in the country.

It has also made a mark in the streets, topping local radio charts and having it as the crossover song in social media challenges.

“As we speak the song is growing more in SA since Motsweding Fm and Metro Fm are giving it a good spin which is also growing our Shazam charting in the country. Batswana really appreciated the song and they are still showing love till now,” he said.

Plans are underway for the music video which might be dropped anytime via YouTube and DStv music channels after having an exclusive premier on BTVs Flava Dome programme and SABC 1- YoTv.

“I will be doing a radio tour for the song while wrapping up my EP which is scheduled to drop later this year under the Jozi Entertainment label as one of my major projects since I collaborated with some of SA’s heavyweights,” he said.

DJ KSB further highlighted that 2021 was a blessed year in the 10 years he has been studying the industry.

He hailed Batswana for the love they had shown by streaming and subscribing for his YouTube channel.

He also added that people should be ready for callerTunez and ringtones since he just closed a deal for Phendula.

The production is an Amapiano genre though he added his signature Afro house touch to make him relevant.ENDS
