The founder  of Mindful Movement Campaign Taolo Mogale had appealed to stakeholders to come on board and support him to make a difference in people’s lives.

Mogale, who was crowned Mister Mahalapye Botswana during a pageant on Christmas day in Mahalapye, said the organisation’s success depended on financiers to successfully execute activities planned.

The 27-year-old Shoshong born and Mahalapye raised studies public health at Gaborone Universal College of Law.

He attributed his success to his family’s support, whom, he said motivated and helped him to be confident enough to accept the results, no matter the outcome.

Mogale said Mindful Movement Campaign centered on mentorship of a boy-child, mental health issues and gender based violence.

He said he intended to work with organisations such as Mothers Union Center in Mahalapye.

Mogale said through the help of social workers he would be donating groceries to four families in Mahalapye next month, and would extend such support for at least four months.

He will also donate stationary and sanitary towels to schools until the end of his reign.

Mogale who won P10 000 worth of prizes as Mister Mahalapye Botswana, encouraged young men and boys to join such competitions.

For most of his projects, Mogale will be working with both first and second princes Shawn Tlhowe and Bongani Khotho.

Director for the pageant, Oteng Gabalebatse said though the pageant was in its infancy, the plan was to make it an annual event.

He said the main purpose was to groom a boy-child, change the perception that pageants were for ladies, and bridge the gap where a boy-child was excluded.

Diponeng Hotel, White Hound Travel and Tours and Distinction Boutique Hotel sponsored the event.

Gabalebatse stated that as he was advertising the Mister Mahalapye Botswana pageant on social media, he connected with Christian Teth, director of Mister Africa, Continent.

“Therefore Mister Mahalapye Botswana will participate in the Mister Africa Continent in Ghana, representing Botswana in September,” he explained.

He explained that Mister Mahalapye Botswana, would be an ambassador, representing a boy-child in all issues that affect them, adding that most men were perpetrators of social ills such as crime and gender based violence therefore needed psychological help. ends
