Tirelo Kusane, a young man from Kgatleng District on October 16 honoured President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi with a poem analogy book titled Maboko a ga Tautona.

The analogy pays tribute to President Masisi with some of the poems coming from various Batswana across the country.

Also presented to President Masisi were an audio and a DVD, which would eventually be played on Radio Botswana and Botswana Television respectively once everything had been finalised.

Receiving the gift, Dr Masisi applauded young people for their great efforts to showcase their craft especially during the difficult times of COVID-19.

Inspired by the admiration he always have for President Masisi, Kusane said the President’s kindness and love as well as his dedication to serve the nation, motivated his idea of collecting and compiling poems about the man. The poems, Kusane indicated address the President’s humbleness and kindness towards his nation and the love he had for his country.

Poems such as Peo ya ga Tautona, Morwa Setlhomo and Tautona Masisi are some of the poems in the book. A fully completed book with all the poems will be launched in 2021. ends
