Mogorosi-born traditional music artiste, Modiri Pelaelo, also known as Bafana Ba Setso in the entertainment industry, recently released a single titled Re ya kae Batswana.

Speaking in a recent interview, Bafana Ba Setso said the single was composed and recorded by Sweet Melodies studios in Gaborone, adding that it was an educative piece on COVID-19.

He said he wrote the lyrics of the song to see how the brand would fare in the market.

Should it perform well, a full album will follow before the end of the year.

Bafana Ba Setso said he fell in love with traditional music during his school days when he was a tranditional dancer.

“I was inspired by artistes such as Shirley and Shumba Ratshega who became popular because of their music genre,” he said.

He said their songs inspired and taught many about social life. ENDS
